The Science Faculty at Horowhenua College has the objective of providing all students the opportunity to grow in confidence and to enable them to increase in knowledge and competency in Science. We employ highly qualified teaching staff that include specialists in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Agricultural Science. We have designed a range of courses aimed at maximizing the potential of all our students and equipping them for the career they choose.
Horowhenua College has five totally refurbished Science laboratories. A separate area for practical activities and the carpeted areas provide spaces where students can work in a variety of ways including collaborative and individualized project work.
A break-out area allows senior students to carry out extended practical activities. We are very proud of our wonderful science facilities.
